Miki is a senior portfolio manager on a variety of US strategies, including Newton’s US Small, SMID, Mid and Large Cap Growth strategies. She is also responsible for managing Growth and Income, US Large Cap Equity, and Food Innovation portfolios. Additionally, Miki co-manages the BNY Mellon Women’s Opportunities ETF, which she helped design and launch.

Miki joined Newton in September 2021, following the integration of Mellon Investments Corporation’s equity and multi-asset capabilities into the Newton Investment Management Group. Before joining Newton, Miki was a senior research analyst at Mellon Investments Corporation and The Boston Company Asset Management (both BNY Mellon group companies). Over her two decades in the industry and 17 years at the firm, she has covered the consumer staples, consumer discretionary and healthcare sectors across EM (emerging markets), EAFE (Europe, Australasia and the Far East) and the US.
Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Miki worked at Leerink Swann & Co., a healthcare investment bank, advising venture capital and private equity firms, as well as pharmaceutical, biotech and medical-device companies, on strategic growth opportunities.
Miki has a BA in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from MIT Sloan School of Management.
